Trial dates have been finalized for the court case surrounding the death of Albert Gunville in Feb. 2019.

Judith Sasakamoose, who faces a charge of manslaughter, will be tried by a jury at Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench, beginning the week of Sept. 27.

On the day of the incident, police responded to a weapons call in the 1200 block of 17th St. W., where they found Gunville in critical condition. Gunville was taken to hospital but later died.

Family members have described Gunville as a hard-working father who enjoyed visiting and socializing, and made time for others. Gunville grew up as one of nine siblings in the small community of Adanac Sask., near Unity.
