559 new COVID-19 cases reported for last three days, seven deaths reported Sunday
Over the past three days, the Saskatchewan Health Authority reported 559 new COVID-19 cases. On Friday, 229 cases were reported with 125 in acute care and 29 in intensive care (ICU), 132 cases were reported on Saturday with 144 in acute care and 30 in ICU, and 198 cases were reported on Sunday with 198 new cases, with 156 in acute care and 26 in ICU. That brings the provincial total to 14,814.
On Sunday, seven deaths of Saskatchewan residents who previously tested positive for COVID-19 were reported.
Two new deaths in the age group 80+ were reported in the North West zone. Two new deaths in the age group 70-79 were reported in the North Central zone. One new death in the age group 30-39 was reported in the North West. One new death in the age group 80+ was reported in Regina, and one new death in the age group 80+ was reported in the South East zone.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (25), Far North East (44), North West (41), North Central (104), North East (22), Saskatoon (126), Central West (2), Central East (21), Regina (70), South West (2), South Central (four) and South East (11) zones. Eighty-seven (87) new cases have pending residence information.
