Record 11 COVID-19 deaths reported in Saskatchewan
The Saskatchewan Health Authority reported a record 11 new deaths to COVID-19 on Saturday.
One new death was in the 60-69 age group in the North East, while four were in Saskatoon (three in 80+ group, one in 50-59), four new deaths in Regina (all 80+), one in the South East (70-79) and one in the South East (80+).
The 11 deaths are the largest one-day increase in COVID-19 deaths so far, almost double the previous record of six. Since last Saturday, 31 deaths have been reported, while 86 people have died since the pandemic started.
There are 274 new cases of COVID-19 to report in the province, bringing the provincial total to date to 11,749 cases.
