Peekeekoot scores hat trick in final preseason win over Trojans

Dallyn Peekeekoot scored a hat trick to lead the Prince Albert Mintos to a 5-1 win over the Tisdale Trojans on Sunday at the Tisdale RecPlex. That completes the weekend sweep for the Mintos, who also defeated the Trojans 9-2 on Saturday at the Art Hauser Centre.
All three of Peekeekoot’s goals came on the powerplay, and were spread out between all three periods. Gage Helm and Danton Cox also found the back of the net for the Mintos.
Jacob Cossette scored the lone goal for the Trojans.
The Mintos are scheduled to start the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League season on Nov. 1 at the SaskTel Centre against the Saskatoon Contacts. The Mintos will then have a home-and-home against the Tisdale Trojans on Nov. 7-8, with their home opener at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the Art Hauser Centre.
