SUV drives through P.A. apartment building

There was a close call Tuesday morning for a Prince Albert woman and her family at the Carlton Park Suites.

Around 11:30 a.m., an SUV attempted to drive through one of the building’s walls. April Laviolette was home with her daughter and grandson at the time.

“We heard a big smash and next thing we [saw] a vehicle right at the window,” she said.

Luckily no one was hurt, but Laviollete acknowledged it was a near miss.

“My grandson was just in here so it’s kind of scary,” she said.

Police have confirmed the driver, a 36-year-old woman, was arrested, but there was no mention if any charges have been laid.
