Get set for Give A Little Life

Dec 5, 2019 | 2:00 PM

Together in concert with the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, the Victoria Hospital Foundation’s Give A Little Life Day on Friday will aim to raise $385,000.

“It allows us to purchase vital equipment for the Victoria Hospital so that when the day comes that we need the hospital, it has what it needs,” CEO of the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Sherry Buckler told paNOW.

The 14th edition of the Give A Little Life Day campaign will focus on equipment purchases for diagnosing and rehabilitating cardiac patients.

“We have stories lined up, physicians and heart attack survivors that are ready to talk. Call in, make your donation in support. Let’s all pull together and make this happen,” she said.

Buckler wanted to thank past donors and encourage others to help the foundation.

“We’re so grateful to them because it’s about that altruistic nature. Taking care of each other and making sure everyone has everything they need and making an impact where we can,” she said.

Starting at 6 am Friday, donors can call the 1 (855) 816-LIFE phone number to make their pledge.

Those away from the phone can also donate online at www.helpthevic.ca or by stopping by the main lobby of the hospital.

According to a release from the Victoria Hospital Foundation, the Give A Little Life Day campaign has raised over $7 million in the past 13 years.
