Students cast off for outdoor education
Students from Riverside School took to the pond Thursday afternoon as they learned more about fish habitats near the city.
As part of their outdoor education class, students released rainbow trout into the Nesbit Trout Pond north of the city. The kids raised the fish from eggs which were provided to them as part of Fish in Schools, a program involving the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation along with local federations including the P.A. branch.
Jordan Holeman, outdoor education teacher with Riverside School, said this year was a successful one when it came to the results.
