P.A. Police investigating graffiti crime spree

May 16, 2019 | 5:00 PM

A number of homeowners in Prince Albert’s West Hill area woke up to a very unwelcome site Thursday morning.

Close to two dozen homes and businesses in the area were targeted by graffiti. Sharon Trautmann was among the homeowners hit. She told paNOW she was shocked to see the graffiti, given that the neighbourhood has typically been quiet, and all her neighbours get along.

“When this street opened up at the end then we saw different foot traffic coming through and it’s been busier so it’s kind of changed,” she said.

At this time no charges have been laid. (Nigel Maxwell/ paNOW Staff)

When Arnold Jouan came outside around 6 a.m. he discovered his garage door was spray painted.

“I wasn’t very happy about it but what are you going to do?” he said. “Hopefully it was just a random thing and doesn’t happen again.”

A spokesperson for the Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed they are investigating the file, but at this time do not have anyone in custody. More information is expected to be released Friday.
