Febee nabs suspects on the run
It was an exciting weekend for Prince Albert Police Service canine Febee, as she was deployed to apprehend two suspects after an alleged hit and run incident involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
On Monday, just before 2 a.m., patrol officers responded to a parking lot in the 600 block of Marquis Road East. Officers were advised a female pedestrian was injured and a black truck fled the area.
Roughly 10 minutes later, officers observed a black truck driving at a high rate of speed in the 1400 block of 15 Street West, driving in a westbound direction. A traffic stop was attempted, however the truck failed to stop for police. Shortly after failing to stop, the vehicle struck a commercial building in the 1600 block of Sixth Avenue West, and the occupants fled on foot. The Police Canine Team apprehended two suspects.
