The Prince Albert Winter Festival continues to be in full swing this weekend with a variety of events taking place throughout the city.

Gerry Dolezsar, president of the Prince Albert Trail Riders, said that the club was happy with the day’s weather, and excited to see so many people show up to ride.

“We use the money that we make from the rally to support the maintenance of the trails,” said Dolezsar.

“This year we’re very proud of the fact that we made a connection with the Saskatoon club, so you can actually ride your snowmobile from the Costco in Saskatoon to pretty much anywhere in the north up here.”

Registration for the rally was $20, with a lunch included. A 50/50 raffle was also a part of the rally, as well as a silent auction.

“It’s a fun event, as far as I’m concerned any excuse to ride is a fun event,” said Dolezsar.

“This is kind of special, it’s kind of our annual thing that we build up to throughout the season.”
