Three people have been charged with first-degree murder ten months after a man was found dead inside a home on 17th St. W. in Prince Albert.

The remains of 25-year-old Duane Brett Ledoux were discovered by the Prince Albert Police Aug. 16, 2017 inside a residence on the street’s 800-block. Less than a week later, the police announced they were treating the investigation as a homicide.

Three people are now facing charges in connection with Ledoux’s death, police announced Tuesday morning. Borden Umpherville, 35, William Chaboyer, 23, and Marrissa Bird, 29, are all charged with first-degree murder. Umpherville and Chaboyer were charged last week and remanded into custody, police said. Bird is expected to make her first appearance this morning in provincial court, while Umpherville and Chaboyer are scheduled to appear June 11.

The suspects are presumed innocent at this stage.
