Temperature records smashed in Prince Albert and northern region

More temperature records were broken Wednesday in the Prince Albert, Melfort and La Ronge areas.

As of 1 p.m. many communities had already set new records.

The City of Prince Albert was at 13 Celsius beating out the mark of 12 C set in 1981.
 
Not to be outdone, the City of Melfort reached 14 C, surpassing the mark of 7.2 C set in 2001
 
Nipawin also broke a record at 11 C, easily passing the previous mark of 7.6 C from 2009.
 
The Town of La Ronge reached 10 C.  The previous mark was 8.9 C in 2009.
 
Waskesiu was at 15 C at 1 p.m.   The previous record was 8.4 C  from 2009.
