Upcoming presentation aimed to boost businesses
Community Futures Prince Albert has partnered with the Ready, Willing and Able employment initiative to bring a fresh voice to Prince Albert.
They are hosting a presentation by Mark Brand on Oct. 14 in the Mann Art Gallery at 8:30 a.m.
An entrepreneur/restauranteur hailing from Vancouver, Brand has opened several independent stores and restaurants. He is also the co-founder of a Better Life Foundation, which raises funds to provide food security for those in need. His largest undertaking so far is the resurrection of Save on Meats, a butcher shop and lunch counter that he restored.
Brand has spoken all over Canada and at TED Talks. It is hoped that Brand’s success story will inspire potential and established small business owners in Prince Albert to begin or expand their businesses.
