Semi driver charged in connection with fatal crash, absent from court
A man facing charges in connection to a fatal crash last May, which claimed the lives of three teenage boys, has not yet entered a plea.
Normand Lavoie, 38, was not present as the case came up at Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday. Lavoie had his attendance waived.
The case has been adjourned to Oct. 20 for election and plea.
The crash happened near the town of Spalding. Three high school boys from Carrot River, on their way from a football training camp, were in a car stopped at a construction zone.
