The Prince Albert Raiders announced Tuesday they have signed 15-year-old defenceman Lane Kirk to a WHL Standard Players Agreement.

Kirk, who was picked in the fifth round, 97th overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft, is now the fourth Raider prospect from that draft to have signed with the team. Cole Fonstad, Carson Miller and Spencer Moe have all inked deals with the Green and Gold.

“Lane was a great surprise at training camp,” said Raiders general manager Curtis Hunt in a team statement. “We look forward to watching him develop and having him become a key part of our line-up in the near future.”

Kirk scored 12 goals and 23 assists in 32 games for the Parkland Rangers Bantam AAA club last year. He played in both Raiders preseason games so far this year.
