“Build it and they will come,” is a famous line from the movie, Field of Dreams, but the same holds true for Audrey Neubuhr and Wally L’Heureux of MacDowell.
The couple mixed Neubuhr’s passion for music with L’Heureaux’s carpentry skills (and love of music) to create a small barn-style mini concert hall, complete with a deck and a large dance floor, reminiscent of the barn dances of Neubuhr’s upbringing in a family that loved music and dancing.
More than 100 people wound their way to the acreage west of MacDowell, Saturday afternoon, to experience of a full day of old style Country Music featuring great local musicians: Elmer Lammedee, Larry Krause, Carmen Robertson, Geri Lukowski, Tim Dyck, John Quinn, Audrey Neubuhr and several other local musicians who participated in a Open Mic segment of the show.
