Pedestrians, cyclist struck at same intersection hours apart

Three people were injured in separate accidents on Monday evening at 15th Street West and Second Avenue West.

The accidents occurred about two hours apart, with Parkland Ambulance taking the injured people to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Parkland Ambulance paramedics responded to the first accident, at just after 8 p.m. A 16-year-old cyclist was struck by a vehicle. The teen was taken to hospital in good condition.

Then, at 10:19 p.m., paramedics were called back to the intersection to respond to two pedestrians who were struck by a vehicle. A 44-year-old man and a 48-year-old man were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
