8 warm-weather records set in Sask. on Tuesday
The mercury rose higher than it ever had before on March 31 in some Saskatchewan communities.
Environment Canada confirms that eight warm-weather records were set on Tuesday – with one other community tying its old record.
Records were set in:
Assiniboia: 22.3 C beating the record of 21.1 C set in 2004
Elbow: 21.6 C beating the record of 21.5 C set in 2004
Leader: 22.5 C beating the record of 20.6 C set in 1994
Kindersley: 21.3 C beating the record of 21.1 C set in 1964
Maple Creek: 22.7 C beating the record of 21.7 C set in 1976
Rosetown: 21.5 C beating the record of 19.5 C set in 1991
Saskatoon: 19.6 C beating the record of 16.2 C set in 1991
Swift Current: 22.1 C beating the record of 21.1 C set in 1906
