RBC Cup finalists determined

The Woodstock Slammers defeated the host Humbold Broncos 4-3 in overtime at the semi-finals of the RBC Cup in Humboldt on Saturday afternoon.

Ben McSwain scored 35 seconds in to overtime to left the Slammers to the win. The Slammers will face the Penticton Vees in the RBC Cup final. The Vees blanked the Soo Thunderbirds 3-0 in the other semi-final. Michael Garteig made 20 stops for the shutout, while Wade Murphy, Logan Johnston and Curtis Loik scored the goals.

The championship game featuring Woodstock and Penticton will be played Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
