A park in Hampton Village on Saskatoon's west side is being named after Lisa Rendall, a former C95 morning host who has helped raise more than $1 million for breast cancer research.
Rendall was diagnosed with breast cancer ten years ago and to date has raised $2.5 million through events like the C95 Radio Marathon and the Lisa Rendall Golf Classic.
“I think that it is only fitting that we name a park after this strong and brave woman,” said city councillor Pat Lorje during Monday night's council meeting.
Rendall was also recently named CTV Saskatoon's Citizen of the Year.
