Premier Wall speaks in Prince Albert

Mar 25, 2011 | 6:27 AM

Premier Brad Wall made a visit to Prince Albert on Thursday for the Premier’s Dinner, at the Art Hauser Centre.

Only one day removed from tabling the 2011 provincial budget, Wall highlighted several ways in which Prince Albert will benefit.

“There’s a lot in this budget for Prince Albert,” said Wall.

“There are a lot of capital projects in the budget for Prince Albert and area. The (Carlton) gym is one of them, there’s a lot in healthcare as well. The MLA’s here have worked very hard on behalf of their constituency.”

Turning to the upcoming provincial election, Wall said rather than pointing out mistakes made by other parties, he will instead campaign his record, which he feels is worthy of the Saskatchewan Party being re-elected.

“Consider we have the countries number one economy, we’ve paid off 45 per cent of the general debt of the province, we are investing in the capital projects right across Saskatchewan in healthcare and education, we’ve increased the highways budget, and we’ve kept the promises we’ve made,” said Wall.

The provincial election is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2011.
