A man alleged responsible for the death of his mother will be tried next April at Court of King’s Bench in Prince Albert.

Prince Albert police attended a residence in the unit block of 28th Street West for a violent family dispute.

In the days that followed, police confirmed Everett was first picked up on May 3 and taken to Victoria Hospital for a medical matter.

After being cleared medically, he was arrested and held overnight in Prince Albert Police Service cells before being released the following morning at 10 a.m. He was given a court appearance date for the end of the month on assault charges involving a hospital staff member.

That matter remains in provincial court and is scheduled to be spoken to on Sept. 3.

Sources close to the situation told paNOW that Constant had long struggled with mental health-related issues and had been seeking help without success.
