Raiders fall to Moose Jaw, hang on to playoff postion
The Prince Albert Raiders fell 6-3 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on their Wall of Honour night Friday in Prince Albert.
The Raiders opened the scoring 2:30 into the first period when Andrew Herle fed a pass from just inside the Warrior blue line to Nathan Deck who was streaking down the middle of the ice. Deck one timed the pass through a screen and beat Moose Jaw goaltender Thomas Heemskerk.
The Warriors would responded with two goals shortly after, both by Quinton Howden, to gain a 2-1 lead.
The Raiders drew even before the period was over courtesy a power play goal by Igor Revenko. Mark McNeill fed a pass through the slot to Revenko who was waiting, unopposed, at the back door and made no mistake tipping the puck past Heemskerk to make it 2-2 heading to the second.
