New website provides detailed info on quality of Sask. health care

There's a new website that allows people to check out the latest ratings of the Saskatchewan health care system.

The website, qualityinsight.ca, is a new tool for learning and sharing, according to program director Nicole Wohlgemuth.

Currently patients across the province are given a survey to complete about their experience at the hospital or clinic. Those ratings are then posted on the new site.

Wohlgemuth said the site not only helps patients see what they can expect but it helps the facilites improve by addressing problem areas as well.

“(Facilities) can look and see who is doing better than they are, then they can initiate a conversation with the other place that is performing well to find out why they are doing so well so that they can maybe start to implement some of those things within their region or facility,” she explained.
