There are more babies being born in Saskatchewan and Prince Albert is part of the trend.
In Saskatchewan there were about 450 more births in 2010 than 2009 — a total of 14,978 live births were registered in the province this year.
Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officials say the Victoria Hospital is on target to see 1,600 births by the end of their fiscal year. Also up from 2009-10.
“We haven't experienced this of level of births since 1992, when 14,992 live births were registered in Saskatchewan,” said Tim McMillan, minister responsible for vital statistics in the province.
