Saskatchewan Watershed Authority releases updated spring runoff outlook

Feb 10, 2011 | 4:14 PM

The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority (SWA) identified two specific trouble areas as it released an updated spring runoff outlook on Thursday.

The entire southern half of Saskatchewan can expect an above normal runoff, depending on how much more snow falls and how quickly it melts.

But one pocket poised for well above normal runoff spans from Prince Albert, southeast past Saskatoon, to Kindersley and Rosetown.

The other covers most of east-central Saskatchewan — stretching from Melfort south to Weyburn, and from Yorkton west to Elbow.
