There are a couple of interesting developments in the farm equipment world. Buhler Industries, which has the brand names Versatile and Farm King and a manufacturing plant in Winnipeg, has purchased the assets of Ezee-On Manufacturing. Ezee-On is based in Vegreville, Alberta and builds air drills and carts, offset and tandem discs, and a post driver.

The purchase price is $14.5 million. Buhler says it is continuing its plan to become a full-line equipment manufacturer. Meanwhile, the consolidation of farm equipment dealerships is continuing. Rocky Mountain Dealerships has entered into an agreement to purchase J & B Equipment, the Case IH dealership in Kindersley.
