Police find missing teen snowmobiler on Wollaston Lake

Jan 26, 2011 | 5:43 AM

RCMP and Canadian Rangers searched Monday for a 16-year-old boy in the northeastern corner of the province on Wollaston Lake who went missing while using his snowmobile.

He'd become separated from his cousin while they were transporting wood to an ice road during heavy snow and poor visibility.

When the teen didn't return with his cousin, a search party spread out and found him within an hour.

This is the second snowmobiler search in Saskatchewan in as many days. Sgt. Paul Dawson with RCMP says it's important to recognize the risks of outdoor activities.
