GIVE a little life DAY less than 3% from Goal

A significant donation from Thorpe Brothers Limited, in Prince Albert, has brought the 5th annual GIVE a little life Campaign to less than 3% of its $400,000 goal.

While the Victoria Hospital Foundation has given the “go ahead” to the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region to order the medical equipment needed to upgrade the Operating Rooms at the Victoria Regional Hospital the funds are needed to complete the purchase.

Rob Dalziel, executive director with the Victoria Hospital Foundation said, “the doctors and nurses who work in the OR Unit are thrilled with the news.

I spoke with several of them early this morning and they are very excited.” Drew Gray, chair of the Victoria Hospital Foundation board of directors said, “This is an excellent example of a local company doing business in the region giving back to the community they serve.”

The new medical equipment is expected to start arriving within four to six weeks. Some equipment will take a little longer to arrive and several items will require professional installation by trained technicians.

Individuals and businesses wishing to make a donation to the GIVE a little life Campaign should contact the Victoria Hospital Foundation or visit its web site to make a secure donation at:  www.helpthevic.ca

The Victoria Regional Hospital provides medical care to more than 77,000 residents throughout the Prince Albert Parkland health Region. The region is one of the largest and busiest in the province.
