King George Community School’s Christmas Celebrations

Dec 3, 2010 | 12:01 PM

Seasons Greetings from King George Community School Community Council!

The School Community Council is having a raffle for a Christmas Food Hamper, including a turkey, ham and gift card for perishable items.

Tickets are being sold at the school. Students may buy tickets at any time. If you are in the school and wish to purchase tickets, please inquire at the secretary's office.

Tickets will be available at the Christmas Concert.

The draw will take place immediately after the Christmas Concert. Hurry and get your tickets now. We are asking students to bring a non-perishable food item to donate towards the food hamper. Please send an item as soon as possible.

The School Community Council will once again be having its Annual Christmas Bake Sale. It will be held December 15th from 6:15-6:45 pm. The Christmas Concert starts at 7:00 pm, so please plan on arriving early so that you may purchase some sweets or treats.

We will be calling all homes to ask for a donated bake sale item. Please consider donating. In consideration to all, the item does not have to be homemade. We are very happy to accept store-bought items. Without your help events such as this are not possible.

Please remember that we are a nut-free school.

At November's King George Community School Community Council meetings we had a very busy night. After a delicious supper, we got straight to work.

Your School Community Council executive members are:     Bonnie Moore-Chair,    Lydia Marcoux-Vice Chair,    Sherry Rishchynski-Secretary,    Margaret Marsollier-Treasurer and    Barb Wirsta-Member-at-Large.

Thank you to everyone that attended. Everyone that attends a meeting has a vote.
