Crash sends four to hospital, kills one

One person is dead and four remain in hospital following a crash east of Prince Albert.

Around 630 last night on Highway 55, just east of the airport, a westbound car collided head on with an eastbound SUV, after narrowly missing a collision with an eastbound truck.

 Police say the car had crossed into the eastbound lane. 

 One person was found dead at the scene. 

Two women and two children were taken to hospital.

The children, four years old and eight months are listed in critical condition in a Saskatoon hospital

 The women, ages 22 and 57, are in serious condition.

 The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
