There is just over a week to go before the Canadian Cancer Society’s 22^nd annual Spring Fundraiser will transform the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre into a grand ballroom.  Being held on Wednesday May 3^rd, this year’s event called “Puttin’ On The Ritz” aims to make this year’s guests feel like princesses (or princes!).

Tickets for the annual Spring Dinner and Show are $50 and available at the Prince Albert Canadian Cancer Society office, 54 11^th Street East.  Phone 306-764-4808 for tickets or for more information.

The spring fundraiser combines fundraising games, a delicious meal, entertainment, inspirational stories and socializing. 

Highlights of the evening will be the wide array of prizes generously donated by businesses and individuals in our community, the diamond dig with a grand prize of a diamond pendant valued at $1179 and donated by Paris Jewellers, the spectacular decorations sponsored by Unique Weddings by Craft Haven and the inspiring stories of cancer survivors that remind us of why we gather together for this fundraiser.  Adding some swing to the evening will be Heidi Munro and the Little Groovy Band, sponsored by Canadian Tire.

Last year’s spring dinner and show brought in over $45,000.  The funds raised at the spring fundraisers go to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s programs and services for people living with cancer, education on preventing cancer and advocating for a healthier province and country and helps fund research for all cancers.

The Spring Dinner & Show Fundraiser is run by a volunteer committee.
