Visit Australia and New Zealand

Are you ready to take the trip of a lifetime that has always been on your “bucket list”. Maybe now is the time to travel with our strong Canadian dollar and approaching winter season.

Australia is the world’s smallest continent, southeast of Asia between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. They have always been considered a multicultural country being comprised of Aboriginals and Immigrants from around the world.

Lovely, laid back Melbourne has something for everyone. The City produces some of the world’s best art, music, fashion, design and ideas. Its population of 3.5 million is multicultural and entirely sports-mad! There are great markets for shopping and many fine restaurants. Cruise down the Yarra River or see the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.

Canberra is Australia’s capital city. It is also the largest inland city, located between the mountains and beaches. Country’s history and culture are on proud display in the many museums, galleries and theatres located around the city.

Sydney is called the Harbour City. It is the largest, oldest and most cosmopolitan city in Australia. Take a city Tour and harbour cruise to really appreciate the city? The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are a sight to behold. There are many Day Tours to choose from including the Hunter Valley Wine tour or a majestic Blue Mountain Tour. Visit a Wildlife Park and take your photo holding a Koala or feeding a kangaroo.

Brisbane is truly a place to take a few days and enjoy. Brisbane is the 3rd largest city in Australia with a much slower pace. The Brisbane River coils like a snake around the city. It is close to the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast. Fly to Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a full day of snorkeling, turtle watching, fish feeding from a glass bottom boat.

Next, take a short hop across the Tasman Sea to scenic New Zealand.

New Zealand is an Island Country which geographically comprises of two main landmasses-that of the North and South Island.

The South Island has the beautiful cities of Dunedin, Christchurch and of course the wine producing area of the Marlborough Sounds near Blenheim. Take a cruise on the Milford Sounds and view the fabulous Southern Alps and Mount Cook .Walk the Milford Track to see a close up of the abundant flora and birdlife. Visit Arrow town which is a historic gold mining town. Wander the tree-lined streets of their restored cottages. Explore gold mining sites. Visit Queenstown and experience one of the many hiking and walking trails. It is a mecca for shopping, art galleries, pubs and fine dining.

The North Island of New Zealand is the smaller of the two Islands but holds seventy five per cent of the population. It is known for its Volcanic Mountains, lakes, mud pools and geysers, white sand beaches and diverse farm and horticultural landscapes.

Auckland is known as the City of Sails. It is New Zealand’s largest city and offers wonderful day tours, sailing, shopping, museums, harbour tours. While there, visit Kelly Tarleton’s Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World.

Visit the Bay of Islands for few days of deep sea fishing and swim with the dolphins. Travel the famous 90 mile beach to Cape Reinga. Sit on the beach, watch the waves, and sample true New Zealand “fish and chips” followed with hokey pokey ice cream for dessert.

Rotorua captures the best of New Zealand all in one location.

It has many thrilling adventure tours that will satisfy the true adrenalin junky. Day tours are as plentiful as they are diverse. Take the time to experience a traditional Maori concert and Hangi feast, Rainbow Springs and the Agrodome. See scenic Lake Taupo and Huka Falls for a day of trout fishing or river rafting. Enjoy a boat ride in the famous Waitomo Caves. Vision a sky lit with thousands of magical glow worms.

Before departing New Zealand take in a rugby match with the New Zealand All Blacks and watch their famous pre match Haka!
