No Routine Sucks

As I reminisce about my past 12 days of summer holidays, I came to the realization how much I need routine in my life. Our 12 days was relaxing on the beach, swimming, short bike rides, and family time, camp fires. Absolutely no routine was in my existence and I started to get testy and sluggish.

Routine too me is, an everyday promise to fit in exercise and eat Clean. On holidays I would do what I felt like, IF I choose to and I didn’t choose it as much.

Now let’s talk about eating. The first 6 days were great. We pre-packed meals, had many healthy snacks and treated when necessary. Then day 7 happened, too lazy to go to the grocery store, Thought 1 more ice cream won’t hurt, seconds at meal time.

Again I was Testy and sluggish!

Don’t get me wrong , I Loved being with my kids and husband … but the testy , sluggish me isn’t good for anyone.

We made a decision to stay home on the last day of holidays and get prepared for the work week a head. Thank goodness! We prepared all our meals, got groceries, and booked time with our trainers. (Which thank you so much Kelleen for working with me)

I am back to feeling happy, inspired and healthy.

Please don’t get out of routine, if you’re on holidays book in 30 minutes of exercise every day. Walk, Bike, Swim, Non- stop 30 minutes. Never allow yourself more than 3 treat a week.

I don’t want you to feel sluggish and get testy on a wonderful Holiday with family.

Holidays are supposed to be relaxing and rejuvenating, but when you get out of routine… you lose control.
