A busy weekend for emergency crews

A rollover Sunday morning, south of Prince Albert claimed a life.

It happened on Highway 2, near the Highway 11 junction.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found a van submerged upside – down in a slough.

According to the Prince Albert Fire Department, four people were removed from the vehicle.

One was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other three were taken to hospital.

According to Lyle Karasiuk, public affairs director of Parkland Ambulance, a 17-year-old boy was taken in stable condition to Saskatoon and the other two were treated and have already been released from Victoria Hospital.

Sunday afternoon, a 61 year old woman was taken to hospital following a rollover north of Prince Albert.

It happened around 12:30, just north of the Christopher Lake turnoff.

Parkland Ambulance reports the woman was listed in good condition.
