Strike could be looming at SIAST

They say it’s still too soon to say strike.

The unions representing SIAST workers in Saskatchewan are now considering their next move – bargaining talks with the employer have broken down.

“We spend four days, including evenings talking, but by the end of the day Saturday we had reached an impasse,” said Jim Steele with the SIAST Academic Negotiation committee.

Earlier this month the unions voted in favor of strike action
Steele said, it’s still too early to say strike.
