Doors re-opened at shuttered mill

There is some very good news for people in the Hudson Bay area.

The shuttered OSB mill is up and running again.

The mill was closed two years ago by Weyerhaeuser due to market conditions, leaving 140 people out of work.

Dave Ferguson, the town's economic development officer, said two of the four shifts are back to work.

He also said it will take time, but the majority of the plant's workforce is expected to be recalled.

Weyerhaeuser wants to monitor the housing market for a while before resuming full production, to make sure the mill can remain open for the long haul.
