Busy Mother’s Day for P.A. Fire Dept.

May 14, 2018 | 10:00 AM

A brush fire behind the east leg of Macdowall Cres. kept local firefighters busy Sunday night.

The Prince Albert Fire Department was called out at 4:30 p.m., and when firefighters arrived they found approximately two acres of thick brush burning. Firefighters were able to get a perimeter around the fire, and were still dealing with hot spots as of 10:30 p.m. Although the fire was large, no damage was reported.

Earlier in the day the fire department responded to a grass fire in the 400 block of 15th Ave. E. The small fire was quickly extinguished with no major damage or injuries reported.
