Man charged in P.A. playground abduction

Prince Albert police have charged 19-year-old Jarrod John Charles with the abduction of an eight-year-old girl from a school playground.
Charles is charged with multiple offences including abduction, kidnapping, abandoning a child, forcible confinement, and sexual assault.
Police received a call from family at 3:30 p.m. on July 4 reporting their daughter missing. Later that evening, an Amber Alert was issued. It was called off at roughly 8:40 p.m. when the girl was finally located.
Charles was found in Prince Albert, and at 11:15 p.m. he was arrested without incident at a business in the 2900 Block of Second Ave. W.
