UPDATE: An Amber Alert was issued for, but the girl was found safe.

Prince Albert police are searching for a missing eight-year-old girl.

Police received a call from the family of the girl reporting her missing early this afternoon, according to spokesperson Sgt. Travis Willie. She was playing at the playground at Vickers School, Willie said, and the family left her unattended for a short time. When the family members returned, the girl was missing.

She last seen wearing a pink shirt and black and white polka-dotted skirt. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.
