P.A. men Walk a Mile in red heels

Men from Prince Albert and region walked in high-heeled red pumps to support a local charity and help stop violence against women.

900 CKBI’s Chris Knight and Ken Landers, and Power 99’s Andy Cohen joined groups from the Parkland Ambulance, Prince Albert Police Service, and others to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes last night at the Alfred Jenkins Field House. Groups collected pledges and walked one mile around the track in high-heels to raise funds and provide support to the Prince Albert Safe Shelter for Women. 

Knight was a first time participant and while he was happy to attend, he didn’t think the event would influence his fashion choices.

“It was a lot of fun, and I apologize to women everywhere for having to wear high-heels,” he said.

Cohen has participated once before and promises to return next year. He has found the event to not only be fun, but greatly rewarding, even emotional.
