Investigators are still working to determine what happened when a La Ronge restaurant owner was fatally injured during an armed robbery.

Police are looking into the death of Simon Grant who was assaulted at Louisiana's BBQ Restaraunt in La Ronge between 10:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. on April 15. It is believed three suspects entered the business with three weapons: a baseball bat and two handguns.

Police say while the suspects were in the business, Grant was assaulted and the trio left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is believed to be male who wore a black balaclava, black hoodie and dark coloured pants at the time of the robbery. Police say he carried a light coloured baseball bat.

The second suspect is also believed to be male who wore a black cap, black hooded jacket, black scarf and black pants with the word 'BLACK' written across the front in white letters. Police say the pants had white striping on the back lower legs. The suspect allegedly wore gloves and carried a handgun during the incident.

The third suspect, whom police say is believed to be male wore a black balaclava, black long sleeve sweatshirt, dark pants or jeans and was carrying a black duffle bag and a handgun.

Officers say the trio is believed to be inside the business for a very brief period of time — roughly five minutes.

If you have any information on the armed robbery or homicide, you're urged to contact La Ronge RCMP or Saskatchewan RCMP. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers.
