“Hyped-Up Hypno Show” promises a variety of fun

A new Prince Albert variety show promises to mystify and mesmerize, while making audiences laugh along the way.

Local magician and hypnotist Roger Boucher has developed a new show which he’ll be taking on the road after debuting the performance in Prince Albert March 4. Boucher said “The Hilarious Hyped-Up Hypno Show” will feature much more than his magical stylings.

“We’re doing magic, improv and hypnosis, and here in Prince Albert we have Ryan Hughes doing a comedy act as well,” Boucher said.

Boucher said the variety show will be going on a small tour of the province, something he has been planning since September. After their P.A. Premier, Boucher and company have planned to take their show to Melfort, Regina, Saskatoon and Buffalo Narrows.

The show, Boucher said, features plenty of fresh material and new illusions.

“There’s some new hypnosis routines for sure that people have never seen in Prince Albert,” Boucher said. “There’s also some new magic that’s going to be awesome. I’m really looking forward to it. And the improv is always fresh because it’s audience participation and audience ideas that drive it.”

Tickets are now on sale for the March 4 performance, which will be held at Plaza 88 March 4. The show is suitable for ages 15 and up.

“It’s a beautiful venue, so I’m really looking forward to being in there and performing in there again,” Boucher said. “It’s going to be great.”
