P.A. duo face 22 charges after police recover cache of drugs, weapons

A local man, 36, and woman, 25, are now in custody and facing 22 drug and weapons charges after police executed a search warrant yesterday morning.
Police seized weapons and drugs from a home in the 600 block of 28th St. around 11:30 a.m. Sept. 21. Included in the cache was a loaded pump action sawed off shot gun, a loaded .17 calibre Savage Rifle, various ammunition, homemade weapons, 41.2 g of cocaine, 14.5 g of methamphetamine, 10.3 g of marijuana and $9,565 in cash.
Both the accused made their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning, Sept. 22.
They each face the following charges: possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and several firearm-related charges.
