City provides residents with bill-paying alternatives in wake of postal strike

Jun 28, 2016 | 11:51 AM

If you pay your bills through the mail, you may want to need to come up with an alternative.

Canada Post is currently undergoing employee contract negotiations. As early as July 2, there may be a work disruption which could affect mail delivery.

The city of Prince Albert is providing alternative bill payment methods for residents in preparation for the potential Canada Post strike.

Residents can pay their bills through online banking at their financial institution. Alternatively, residents can pay in person at city hall during business hours or leave their payments in the 24-hour secure drop box outside city hall.
