Day of mourning

Mayor Jim Scarrow proclaims it the day of mourning in the city of Prince Albert.

Apr. 28 is the National Day of Mourning across Canada. It is to remember people who were killed or injured on the job.

The flag raising was put on by the Prince Albert and District Labour Council. They read off the names of 45 Saskatchewanian who were killed on the job.

The event took place at 5 p.m. at Memorial Square and was attended by numerous city and provincial officials.
