A second man has been charged with the death of Troy Napope, who went missing in June 2015.

RCMP Major Crime Unit North and Prince Albert Police Service charged Skylar Patrick Bird, 29, with first degree murder.

Bird was previously charged with arson and forcible confinement in relation to the case. Napope’s car was found burned out on Whitfield Road, just north of Highway 3.

His previous charges will be replaced by the first degree murder charge.

On Monday, March 14, Braidy Chase Vermette was also charged with the first degree murder of Troy Napope.

Investigators confirmed Napope, Vermette and Bird knew each other.

Bird will make his first court appearance today at Prince Albert Provincial court at 9:30 a.m.
