PA’s first murder victim of 2016 being laid to rest Friday

Jonathan Lee Cowan, Prince Albert’s first murder victim in the New Year, will be remembered by his friends and family on Friday, Jan. 15 at his funeral. 

A service for Cowan is scheduled to be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel & Crematorium. 

The 23-year-old man was shot on Jan. 9 in the 1000 block of 1st Ave W. The victim’s friends and family are remembering him fondly on his Facebook in the days prior to his service.

Still can’t believe about JonnyBoii Pk cuz ur bday was so close, but I’ll still remember our childhood. Rest in peace ✝❣

So far there are no suspects in the case or anyone in custody. Prince Albert Police Services (PAPS) are still investigating.
