Expect long waits at Victoria Hospital

Nov 21, 2015 | 11:17 AM

The Victoria Hospital is running out of room.

According to the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region, the hospital was experiencing significant overcapacity for inpatient units.

This is resulting in patients not being admitted from the emergency department. There is also a lack of space to see patients within the emergency department.

Patients with less-urgent issues are encouraged to seek appointments with their primary care provider, or go to a walk-in clinic, as wait times have increased.
