Team Sask. brings home medal in girls’ softball

Another day at the Western Canada Summer Games means another medal for Team Saskatchewan, this time in girls’ softball.

Team Sask. took bronze with a 6-3 win over Team Manitoba. Some key members of the team also play for the Prince Albert Aces including Haley Acton, McKenzie Acton, Breanne Neudorf, Jessica Vance and Carly Zultok.

The Prince Albert girls figured prominently in the outcome, according to onlookers. Jessica Vance came off the bench from an injury to drive in two RBIs, including the game winner. Breanne Neudorf was three for three at the plate and Carly Zultok made some key outs in centre field. Haley Acton went the distance on the mound for the win.
